Examining the Three Main Services Offered by Yahoo
Yahoo is one of the most successful (and one of the best-known) Silicon Valley companies. It offers three main services, which we now venture to look at in turn.
The first major service offered by Yahoo is its webmail service. The webmail service is simply known as Yahoo Mail and is accessible through URLs such as Yahoomail.com and Ymail.com. It has hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
The second major service offered by Yahoo is its search engine service. This was in fact Yahoo’s flagship service, though many people have come know the company through its webmail service. It may not be as popular as Google, but to the extent that it controls more than 20 percent of the global search market, it can’t be looked down upon either.
The third major service offered by Yahoo is its news streaming service. Upon logging out of their Yahoo Mail accounts, Ymail users are redirected into the Yahoo! Home page where the news are streamed: making it one of the most frequently visited news streaming sites in the world.
